Paris Capell is a passionate young professional dedicated to community development and sustainable farming. Born and raised in Orange, Paris has a deep-rooted connection to the community. After earning her Master of Science in Agricultural Innovation from ANU, she returned home to apply her knowledge and skills directly to the local area. Paris is a founding member of Central West Young Aggies, and is actively involved in several community groups including Landcare, Country to Canberra, the Orange Show Society and an active member and player in local sporting competitions including rugby and water polo. Her commitment and advocacy for the Orange region has earned her recognition within the community, being named the 2023 Orange Show Young Woman.
Paris’s vision for the local council includes a strong focus on water security, youth initiatives, natural resource management, and domestic violence services. She believes in the power of community collaboration and is dedicated to creating opportunities for young people in Orange. By running for Orange Council, Paris aims to bring a fresh perspective and energetic approach to local governance. Her platform emphasises the importance of enhancing local infrastructure, investing in community initiatives and fostering economic growth.
