Born in Bathurst, Melissa has lived in Orange since 2001 when she married Jason and began raising their three boys.
A former broadcast journalist and public relations officer, Melissa now works for a major construction company as a digital marketing advisor.
Melissa is an active community member, and enjoys music, comedy, theatre and food and wine events of the region whenever she can. She is involved in sporting clubs Orange City Rugby, Orange City Cricket and Waratahs Hockey Club and has been a local business owner and operator for a number of years.
As a regional resident, Melissa is a vocal advocate of local services and facilities, and is keen to see Orange continue to thrive as a central destination not only to visit, but live and work in, whilst enjoying family and community.
She is motivated to support Tammy Greenhalgh to become the first female Mayor of Orange and is a vocal advocate for inclusive events, equity for women and girls in sport and the local council's role in helping everyone find their tribe in a regional community.
