HOLLY WHITAKER
Contributing to the success of regional NSW has always been a passion for Holly Whitaker, a resident of the Central West for more than 25 years. Born and bred in the rural landscape of the New England, Holly studied Communications at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst before launching into a career of media and public relations.
Moving to Orange NSW in 2001 to raise her family and to work as media relations officer at Charles Sturt
University, Holly enjoyed a short stint as the CEO of Mudgee Region Tourism in 2012/13, before returning to Orange to establish her public relations business with a mission of amplifying regional brands.
Holly is a mother of two boys and owner of public relations business Wholestar PR. She managed the Orange Farmers Market for nine years and now as the sales and events manager for Banksia Orange, Holly is dedicated to promoting and amplifying regionally owned businesses and organisations.
She has being instrumental in delivering community events such as the New Year Eve festivals, Pop Art, Orange Regional Conservatorium events, Orange Open Air Cinema, a member of the FOOD committee for four years, and teaching drama through the Civic Theatre, Holly has embedded herself in the fabric of Orange’s culture.
